The subsidiary was promoted in the year 1984 by the late JRD Tata. It has also provided new base for providing greenery in its initial commercial project named as Xylem located at Bangalore. Further, the company has undertaken 45 million sq ft of land area under its construction work at the different levels of stages. THDC with the mission and vision to offer homes to over 26 million families, the group has launched its new subsidiary in the year 2010 named as Smart Value Homes Ltd., which offered residences at a very economical cost with the price ranging from Rs. 4 to 10 Lakhs. At present the group showing its powerful presence in real estate industry with more than 500 human resource and expanding itself in cities, such as, Mumbai, Lonavala, Talegaon, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. In addition, the group is enhancing its brand value for pleasing its potential audiences across tier I and tier II cities of India.
